Stress is your body’s way of responding to any kind of demand or threat. When you feel threatened or overwhelmed, your nervous system response by releasing a flood of stress hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol which rouse the body into emergency action. Occasional Situational Stress is normal – we need it to protect ourselves from dangerous situations. But if you’re suffering from ongoing, continual or extreme stress – it may be time to seek help.
